Failing Light, Milford Sound

Failing Light, Milford Sound

The sun still had an hour or so before falling below the horizon, but here, surrounded by steep almost vertical peaks, the light was quickly fading. I was soon enveloped in a cool pervasive shadow that made me feel somehow shutoff from the rest of the world. It would have been melancholic, peaceful, except for the constant attack by a squadron of sandflies.
